Orchids and Ice Kay Hadashi
Orchids and Ice
Kay Hadashi
Convinced by her family and friends she needed some time away, June Kato took her first vacation ever. After a redeye flight to paradise, she had a week to meditate, take long runs, and catch up on sleep in a convent lost deep in the rainforests of Hawaii.
Barely out of the airport, June got an ominous feeling when the tropical sun turned to rain. Trouble started when she witnessed a brutal murder and went to the police to give a witness statement. Only trying to be helpful, she found herself caught in a thick soup of automatic weapons, corrupt police officials, meth lords, and ghosts. Trapped on the island, a jail cell loomed in her near future. All she could do was find the murderer of a drug lord she almost spent the night with, for no other reason than to get her own life back.
