The Undercover Ranger - #2: Barbwire Longhorns, Windmills
James Giesalhart
This book is a story about young men risking their lives in helping settle Texas after the Civil War. Asked to do something that had never been done before,go undercover as a Ranger. It is a very violent, shotgun bloody tale but it is told just the way things were at this time. Texas was broke and needed the railroads to come in but would not until the killers, raiders, and just dirty outlaws were cleaned out. It has R-rated sex but no F-words are used. Texas also wanted barbwire to be used and all of the large ranchers were against this, but the railroads needed water for the steam engines so cattle could be shipped to the lucrative northern markets. And no one else but a few men would know that these men were Rangers, and being so young helped in this dangerous mission.
