Conrad does an excellent job of telling their story in a "laugh out loud" manner that will take you from his last days as an employee at a refinery to their garage sale where they eliminated most of their possessions to loading up their boat and sailing away. This book is certainly not for everyone. If you can't fathom the humor in a story about unpleasant medical visits then you should look elsewhere. If you are a sailing purist and want to hear stories about giant waves and near death experiences, there is nothing like that in this book. If you would like to read a funny book that will have you laughing out loud about a family's pursuit of escaping the 9 to 5 and living a life of travel and adventure, then you will certainly enjoy this story.
