Every now and then someone comes into our lives; someone who weaves into our souls and brands our outlook forever. Dakota did that. We didn't plan her; we didn't see a need for her. She arrived and turned our lives and house upside down. She has tempered almost every logistical choice we have made. We still dance to her needs and desires and we still receive more love and sense of fulfillment from our interactions with her than could ever be imagined. These animals are not for everyone. Beware taking a creature into your home that is more wild than tame. It is not fair to them or you if you are not able to abandon all convention and live on their terms.
