In North London families are being slaughtered by a merciless serial killer, with only one female relative left alive each time. There are no clues, just the sinister text messages sent to each surviving victim. Ex- Detective Sergeant Terence Marsland is trying to forget his former life as a policeman and husband, when he's begged by the Family Killer's original victim to privately reinvestigate the case. Against his better judgement, Marsland becomes embroiled in a race against the official police investigation to find the killer while struggling to keep his own tortured past at bay. Marsland realises that the killer likes to observe, to soak up the agony of the surviving victims- but then he becomes the victim himself... Out there somewhere the Family Killer is watching...
