J. in her early twenties and a grad student. The year is 1970 and despite the campus turmoil B. J. stays focused on her classes and her grades. She has goals and intends to achieve them. This characteristic proves one of her defining characteristics as she moves from grad student to professional woman starting her own business. In each novella to follow we see her mature and grow professionally. With each book she faces challenges in her personal and professional lives which alter and sometimes enhance her path to success. Along the way we see her gather friendships and enemies as her power and prestige increases. She finds love when she least expects it and loses it in the same way. But the soul string love nurtured remains intact. No matter how many years pass, how society changes along with world events, nothing alters the hatred of one man whose encounter with her in the graduate school library stacks changed his life and forged his hatred of her. This culminates in Book 5 when he threatens her love and her life. Volume 2 contains the last two novellas in the series. Soul String: Passport, Book 4 Land a contract. Have passport, will travel. Falling in love optional... A trip to London lands Brenna a new contract and a multitude of career opportunities that take her around the world and into the arms and heart of a man who offers his heart without fencing her in.
