The Bells of St. Laurence O'toole N. J. Lordan
The Bells of St. Laurence O'toole
N. J. Lordan
N. J. Lordan, the author of four collections of love poems, has taken a departure from his usual subject matter by focusing on God's Divine Love in this his fifth book of poetry. The experience of 25 years of writing shows in his skillful use of religious imagery as well as contemporary references. Although he is Catholic, Mr. Lordan even references other religions and faiths in order to weave modern works of art that can stand on their own. This collection taken as a whole can be read as a new book of psalms. It is inspirational. However, the reader should be forewarned that there are some poems that should be read with a Bible handy to enrich the references both deep and obscure. This book is intense.
