The town of Ava?s Rest nicknamed Avarice after its unsavory reputation of greed now has one more sin to add to the list, murder. Karen Reese, a popular novelist, goes home and one by one her male friends are hunted and killed by a deranged killer who leaves messages at each scene meant specifically for Karen. Unfortunately, Karen has blocked the memories that the killer is trying to reawaken. Police Detective Warren Hardy has his own memories he would like to block as he tries desperately to solve the series of murder. As the murders continue, he tries piece together the clues and fight his attraction to Karen. Can Karen remember her past and help solve the mystery, or will Detective Hardy have to solve her murder as well?
