The lands of Pendalin, once ruled by Elves, are now in slow decline. Her mother is a creature never encountered in all the lands of Pendalin, and dies soon after her birth. Faye, half-fey and a child genius, becomes intrigued by the mysteries of the Emblems of Pendalin, which inspires her dreams to attend Austin Academy so she might become a Seeker and discover the lost Emblems.
