Death Beneath the Evening Star is a murder mystery centered on the Evening Star cult-a group of people who believes that certain parts of the body is sacred and the physical conduit to the seat of every emotion and the very soul itself. The use of herbs and incantations aids in the growth of their magical powers and ability to speak to the dead. A renegade faction of one whose personal pain and disappointment in organized religion takes the principles of the Evening Star cult and uses them to kill and mutilate his victims to satisfy his sense of justice.
