Alien conspiracies grow where imagination collides with fact. THE VRIL CONSPIRACY : A part time inventor battles an alien terror beam with a gadget he made, then discovers our government is behind a flying saucer crash. Synopsis: DAN FOSTER is surveying on a mountain in Colorado when he sees a spaceship fall into a Lake. He runs down the hill to rescue a friend JILL BARNES, only to find that a nearby construction camp has been destroyed and all of its workers abducted. Dan is caught in a terror beam that immobilizes its victims and renders them defenseless against alien attack. He finds Jill alive but terrified of the intruders. They escape into the woods to hide at an abandoned farm until help arrives. Having to leave the safety of the barn, Dan and Jill eventually end up at the lake to discover a military operation is in progress. GENERAL DARWIN convinces them that the alien invasion has been faked to allow the testing of a new weapon. Dan and Jill finally accept the general?s explanation until a rocket launched at the lake is shot down by an actual UFO.
