Contrary to much of today's popular position, the biblical notions of love, marriage and divorce are rarely understood aright when they are not, first, understood from the divine perspective first. All the facets of marriage, including love and divorce, are said to be mirror images of the spiritual reality between Christ and the Church. Once this understanding truly takes ahold of us, we will begin to understand how gospel centered love, marriage and divorce truly are. GLM&D is also about differentiating between cultural traditions and the moral absolute of the Creation Ordinance of Marriage. In the politically debateable climate that exists today, GLM&D offers a marriage definition and practice where the Church does well to set itself apart from secular culture. It is the hope that this book will ignite a fresh revisitation to the institution of marriage, necessitating its definition and starting point as being centered upon God, continued upon God and any termination being a reflection of the divine legacy.
