Jonathan dreams about traveling to far away places. He and his sister, Martha, start a new school club called The Cultural Highway Pen Pal Club. This pen pal club connects children all over the world. As they travel the imaginary highway, they read each other's letters and learn about the many ways they are different and the many ways they are the same. A handy addition for teachers in storybook form where children learn about cultures, continents and people around the world. By connecting pen pals and making new friends, children read about the similarities and differences of people on this earth to lead to a greater understanding and respect of each other.
