This project is the collection of the birth, death, and marriage notices that were found in the early Lamar County Alabama newspapers. The newspapers have been transcribed and the listing of all births, deaths, and marriages have been extracted out and arranged in alphabetical order (there is also an index in the back of the book). The newspapers that were transcribed include "The Vernon Pioneer" (18 issues from years 1875 - 1879), "The Vernon Clipper" (1879 - 1880), "The Lamar News" (1886 - 1887), and "The Vernon Courier" (1886 - 1897). They were transcribed as they were presented in the newspaper.
