How to Successfully Overcome Sexual Harassment and Discrimination: (And Get a New Job) Tara Om 1.º edición

Sexual harassment and discrimination is a very real thing that people don't like to talk about. It is real, it happens, and it causes its victims a lot of distress. Many think that it seems like something that only happens in television dramas; so removed it seems from their daily life, something you hear about that happens to "other people", that it seems completely unbelievable when it happens to them or someone they know, especially if they are working at a reputable or even just a "normal" or "regular" company. People shy away from talking about sexual harassment and discrimination, and what's worse, they shy away from helping or speaking up for the victim, as they do not want to get involved, do not want to take sides, or are unclear as to what really happened. Similarly, the law is not able to help in many cases where there is not sufficient evidence to convict the perpetrator. This is extremely unfortunate, and compounds the stress and isolation the victim already feels.

While there are many articles about what sexual harassment and discrimination at the workplace is, there are few that are really able to help the victim navigate it, especially if it is one that cannot be easily and clearly settled in a court of law. Together with advice on how to deal with the situation as you are going through it, I also hope to provide some sort of emotional and mental support to you, to let you know that you are not alone, and that someone else has gone through the same thing and defeated it, and that you can too. I've also included professional advice on what would be best to do in this situation, and how to get out of and away from it, including what to say in interviews if getting a new job at a different company is the best option. I had the good luck of having a few brilliant mentors I could go to when in this situation, whom gave me superb advice and believed in me, which I could not have done as well without. I would have been at a loss as to what to do. I hope to share this with you, as I know that their confidence and experience have helped me incredibly.
