He accompanies her on an otherwise dull daytrip collecting herbs far from the hall's walls and proves to be surprisingly good company. Their relaxed happy moods are shattered on the way home however, when Megan senses the approach of a massive swarm of deadly beetles. Evading them, they then discover both their homes overrun. They have no option but to flee. Unsure of his true motives, but aware she cannot travel alone they join forces. Unknowingly, their pleasant picnic has set prophesy in motion and a powerful enemy has noticed. It has been foretold that Zacharias's wife will bring about the downfall of the powerful dictator, Lord Wizard Darcourt and any woman seen in Zacharias's company becomes a target. Megan and Zacharias are confronted with many unexpected attacks on their travels, however, they gather friends on the way too. Uncovering a plot to destroy the future of the Immortal race, Megan realises her disability has a purpose she could never have imagined. Always looking over their shoulders for danger, they come to realise that to find peace the prophesy must be fulfilled. Recklessly galloping across the fields as a child, her pony became a winged Pegasus; the yellow-eyed goats were crafty Satyrs and the open Scottish moorland around the house was home to all manner of creatures heard but rarely seen. She has always enjoyed creating characters and setting them in a fictional environment where our "normal" has an unusual twist. However, it was first during a lazy summer holiday, that she actually began writing down the scenes popping into her head. Those ideas took root and developed, the characters quickly taking on a life of their own, and before she knew it, a series was taking shape. Today, she lives in the middle of the UK in a peaceful market town squeezing in her writing around a full time job, with the support of her ever-patient husband.
