Let us suppose that I am a priest, hearing confessions, and suddenly this gay asks me if he can keep a Christian life, receiving the sacraments, without renouncing to a homosexual relationship. Do I say: who am I to judge you? I don't think it's enough. It won?t be enough for that person, who will ask for our response. We?ll have to answer. And for that, we?ll have to put the issue in the framework of the principles regarding sexuality. And then, we?ll try to elucidate our pastoral attitude to gays in their various situations: single, married, religious... Let?s see?
