Or maybe nothing has ended and we've just arrived at another way station, another temporary destination. Too soon to tell if it's that final destination I s'pose, to soon to tell. But we've arrived somewhere nonetheless, so here we are... the end... "And The Puppy Ain't A Puppy No More" picks up where "And The Puppy Howls No Longer" stopped... Well, not where that story stopped exactly, but sort of where... It's a continuation certainly, but with stories from a distant past and events from the immediate present, almost future, thrown in; continuing the tale; moving the story forward; bringing about an ending; rather than a continuing tale of immediate passed events. But the story does continue... And modern families do form... and modern relationships do get created, and modern families do end... and still more relationships morph and change and die and start, and there's illness and death, and grief and renewal, and loss... and accrual. That all occurs... just like before, just like before. Bromance with benefits... traditional marriage in name only, sex... Beauty and the Beast... modern family America... a destination, we've arrived at a destination. But what's in that label... or what's in that word? And... what, just WHAT, constitutes a relationship? And through it all the Puppy howls no longer. Indeed the Puppy hasn't howled in a long, long, time. The Puppy barks sometimes, but he no longer howls. In truth, the Puppy barks often, but as a dog now, as a dog... because the Puppy; well the Puppy; ..". Ain't A Puppy No More..". ... ...
