Just What the Court Ordered: a Research Tool for the Aggressive Litigant, Prisoner Style John Michael Crim 1st edition

The cases quoted herein are focused on Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decisions. However, there are many other circuits quoted herein as well. Since the prison was under the jurisdiction of the Ninth Circuit, and the inmates I helped wanted their cases reviewed, my research reflects such a focus. This work is a culmination of five years of research that I used in the motions and petitions drafted for inmates as well as for myself. It started out as hand-written notes on small pieces of paper; then it got difficult to find something in those notes. So, I typed them on paper and divided those pages into subject matter. For this book, I had to OCR-scan those pages into Microsoft Word format. The formatting and corrections took just as long as if I had simply retyped them from scratch. Either method took a long long time. I hope you get many miles out of this researched material. In prison I got to know other inmates who, along with me, did not deserve to be there. So, another reason that I have written this book (even though there are a lot of prison-cite books out there) is that I hope to help as many as can be helped. I met a lot of people who did not know what they could do to make a difference. I am only one voice, but I am a voice. You don?t need to be a legal-beagle to write your own motions; you just need to be motivated enough to want to learn and put that learning into the court. You must be very careful that you don?t file a frivolous motion, be-cause you only get three strikes at making frivolous claims before you are barred from future filings. If this happens, the court will require you to obtain authorization before you file any others. You will notice that many of the court citations are repeated through-out the ?Legal Citations? chapter. It was much easier and less confusing to the reader to simply re-cite it where needed.
