The Blind Dog's Share Bharat Kaushik
The Blind Dog's Share
Bharat Kaushik
It is a heart rending story of a small dog ?Tedo? who was not only blind but was left in open to fend for himself at the mercy of nature soon after his birth. The writer, a civil engineer working with a multi-national firm finds Tedo in a hapless condition and had not only to fight the empathy of the people towards animals but strangely enough even of his own wife. Writer is double minded to adopt the new found Tedo because his loving pet ?Romy? died only a year back and his hilarious and incredible memories always kept haunting his mind. When he had to go out of station on some official duty, he deputes one of the security guards of his office complex to look after Tedo during his absence and paid him a substantial amount of money for this. It is interesting to find what the guard did with the blind dogs share. Pet lovers will also be thrilled to read Romy?s life and his adventures in this novel. It is a must read not only for pet lovers but for those who think indifferently towards them. It throws light not only on pets behavior but also tells how to understand them.
