Lady D, who is at the top of the R & B entertainment world; is a successful business woman, unbeknown to her family; and is trying to live her life to the fullest. Despite all her awards and success, something is missing in her life. Then she runs into Antonio Jackson, a handsome and wealthy bachelor with hazel eyes and a shaky past. Within two years of meeting Antonio, Malissa's world turns upside down. She finds herself being blackmailed and is constantly fighting with her brothers, which is nothing new. All Malissa's life, she tried to be accepted by her brothers but hopelessly failed. Antonio feels now is the time for him and Malissa to get married, but Malissa is dragging her feet once again. Malissa may still be carrying a torch for her old love and is keeping some secrets from Antonio, her family, and fans. A threatening note has been sent to Malissa's parents, Clinton and Vera. Immediately, Vera summons her sons-Douglas, Dante, and Caesar-to come by for dinner. Once they are there, they are confronted with the note. Filled with torment, destruction, and more, Lies and Deceit follows Malissa and her brothers through challenges of trouble and turmoil, leading up to a final realization that may lead to her own family unraveling.
