Cindy Stuart does not have a lot going for her...except her beauty and her chastity. Not coming from a well-to-do family but possessing strong values, natural beauty and self worth, she is able to attract a number of quality suitors; including those from affluent families. At first she is stunned and humbled by the suitors, but eventually resists all of them as she is determined the find the perfect husband. She then meets a man who is unlike all the others but at this point she is frustrated with the process and begins to give him the cold shoulder. He persists, visits her often, brings her gifts and earns the trust of her father. A traumatic event with this person forces her to make a difficult decision which will forever change all her well laid plans.
