This saga in verse encaptures the sensitive nature of the youthful mind. It catalogues the author's journey, triggered by his sexual awakening, through various relationships following an insular troubled and difficult childhood, and documents the stages leading to a more stable understanding and mental maturity. The poems and verses form a chronological series of events and are full of mystical and coded imagery, the author taking on the persona of The Dragon; his lovers and aquaintances all have descriptive pseudonyms. The verses were written in his early twenties, as a cathartic reflection at the end of each era. In a bid for knowledge and experiences of the outside world, which had been denied in his earlier years, the author embarks on a venture of self awareness and spiritual enlightenment.
