Publisher Marketing: A Federal Government experimental laboratory develops a technique to remove all memory and transfer a new memory and background into selected subjects. The experiment XMM-47 has proved to be successful in altering killers to become good tradesmen or janitors to be scientists. The technique is to be used to return convicted military criminals sentenced to Federal Prisons into 'Special Forces' or the 'Faceless Men' of the military, programmed to carry out their duties without question and to the conclusion with no obstructions. If injured their Company will kill and dispose rather than recover. These men are programed alike, look alike and act alike; knowing what each other would do as they all have the same programming. They have no military records, no military number other than a tattooed number on their arms, and no individual names. They are cannon fodder for 'Special Ops' and hold no rank; not even a leader as they are all leaders and followers. The experiments go as planned until deep seated emotions swell to the surface and the scientists go looking for the cause. Finding it to come from the Olfactory area of the brain, they recall all the subjects and remove these emotions. 400 military prisoners are finally brought to the institute for converting into the 'Faceless Men' and a few extras are changed with them. Contributor Bio:  Lesbirel, Phillip I have authored many books in many genre but am better known for my gay skinhead and skinhead books. I was born in Guernsey in the Channel Islands to a working class family and had a great family life and upbringing. Being from a working class family allowed me to see the world from a working class point of view and as skinheads are working class lads, I was able to relate to them. I always considered myself a skinhead and still have not hung up my boots. I was educated at the Guernsey Grammar School for Boys. I immigrated with my family to Sydney Australia in 1965. After roaming the country for a few years joined the Royal Australian Air Force as a Motor Mechanic and Diesel Fitter trainee and enjoyed 25 years of military service. I retired from the military in 2002 and after living and working in an Indigenous Community in the Northern Territory finally settled in Cairns in Far Northern Queensland in 2004. It was here that I started to write after I was divorced in 2005. Most of my books are of the gay genre and are listed at the back of this book. This book, 'To Be Reborn', is a story of a young man born into a wealthy family and with all the advantages for wealth; good schooling, the darling of the Cheer leaders as the team quarter back. But Marshall wanted his father's affection but got none. He started to act up and was arrested several times but his father always sent the family lawyer to get him out. After a finals game in the College NFL, Marshall entered a bar to drink with his fellow team mates, when he saw his nemesis from the game; Kasinski. Marshall was still hyped up from the game and when he saw Kaminski, he lost his cool, hitting him several times over the head with a chair and laying into him with the boot. Marshall was charged and sentenced to 8 years in prison and disinherited by his father. The story tells of how he finds his way through prison life, finds his true calling as a concrete laborer and several male lovers both inside and outside prison. He teams up with the Aryan Brothers in prison and on release continues to carry out murders on their behalf until they decide he knows too much and try to have him killed. Marshall escapes but has to go through much to kill himself off and find a new life, finally ending up as a black man in South Africa with his partner Zac. This story is as much a gay love story as it is a story of prison culture and where it leaves ex prisoners on release. I hope you enjoy the book. Phil Lesbirel
