In the not-so-distant future, the fight between good and evil is about to come to a head. Two sects of angels, the Irin and the Grigori, have been on opposite sides for the better part of two millennia. The Irin, led by Raphael, remain in the grace of God. The Grigori, long since forsaken by God for choosing to fall to earth, are damned to roam the earth for all eternity. The outcome all depends on who wins the race to discover the identity and location of the Dark One. Since her mother's disappearance ten years ago, Grace Christiansen struggles to find and maintain her place in the world. She has newfound abilities that she has no idea what to do with, and hopes that one day her mother will return to help her come to grips with all the changes she's going through. What she doesn't realize is how important she is to both sides of the fight. She is the catalyst that could determine the fate of all; both human and divine.
