Judah Fishman has done a lot of everything and still finds his life unfulfilling and meaningless, though he is still not willing to give up hope and live a spartan nihilistic existence. TV helps somehow. His wife Rebecca on the other hand, has believed in God since the day she was born and her belief and faith have been the anchor and cornerstone of her life ever since she can remember. But as she gets older, she begins to start questioning her beliefs. She wonders if she is really happy or if everything is just a self-deluded illusion. And though they have been married for almost twenty years and have lived quite separate and different lives, there has always been a bond between Judah and Rebecca that has held them together through everything that has crossed their paths. But that bond is soon going to be stretched to the limit as they both struggle to find that one "big thing" that makes life worth living and they will discover just how far they are willing to go to make that "big thing" a permanent part of their lives.
