Jones is an African-American writer who was born and raised in the small southern city of High Point, North Carolina. She comes from a family with strong and capable women, much like her characters, and is the proud parent of an amazing daughter. She has a close relationship with her mother, who she considers to be her best friend and biggest supporter. Always encouraged to follow her dreams, L. S. began writing at the tender age of six. The songs she composed were inspired by her grandmother, whom she greatly admires. As she matured, L. S. exhibited poetic talent and was honored to receive awards for her contributions. She didn't pick up her first romance novel until she was in the eighth grade, but it was the beginning of a new chapter in her life. She wrote her first book the following year at the age of fifteen. After graduating from T. W. Andrews High School, she married her husband and started her family, enlisting in the U. S. Army 2-years later. Though she is currently on active duty and is proud to be a part of the elite group who protect and serve the country, her true passion is writing. Her most recent publications are Torn and the first book in the Betrayal series, Love or Loyalty. Whether going bowling or to the movies, enjoying a day at the beach or taking leisurely drives, she loves spending time with her daughter when she isn't working in one capacity or another.
