The present volume is an innovative adults and young - learners course, aimed to enhance knowledge of the Italian as foreign language and to guide students through their way to upper intermediate level - B1/ C1 of CEFR. The imaginative stories, adapted from the fascinating TALE OF TALES - by G. B. Basile have the advantage of providing students with emotions and great fun while reading. Therefore, it guarantees motivation for appealing studying. The course consists of FIVE UNITS. Each contains: - An adapted to the target whole tale-A yellow section: vocabulary-A green section: proverbs-idiomatic phrases and collocations -A blue section: grammar-An orange section: ExercisesEACH SECTION IN MARKED OUT BY DIFFERENT COLOURSThis book is CAREFULLY GRADED, building on a previous elementary/pre-intermediate knowledge, to reinforce and consolidate use of vocabulary and grammar structures. Only the Present tense is used as narrative tense for the first unit, then, progressively, Imperfetto and Passato prossimo, then Passato Remoto. All the steps are gradual until the moment of building complex sentences with incidental clauses, use of implicit/ explicit sentences, gerund and infinitive. Each unit is normally to be completed in two one and half-hour lessons, plus another two- hour home studying. This book is intended as individual extra-activity too, as it is equipped with key. The individual learner can easily follow the following steps by themselves as well as in class.
