An up-and-coming detective convinces an Agrilian girl to marry him. Agrilians are people with magical abilities, and he believes with her abilities and his detective skills, they could solve any case. Their trial by fire begins when their first case together leads them to a town, a city named Vinolia. The mayor requested help in finding and capturing a mysterious phantom who seems to be stealing important documents and may be responsible for a disease spreading through their precious city. They both soon find out that the more they dig, the more they find that the phantom is only the tip of all the dirty secrets Vinolia keeps.
