Publisher Marketing: Filomena Bowan never liked her given name so she always went by "Filly." Her job as a research assistant in Friends of New Entities or FONE as it was affectionately known to all the legislators in California's capitol satisfied her need to be employed. She had a good friend, Angela Amos who shared almost everything with Filly. Filly's sister, Desdemona, also didn't like the given name her mother had given her so she always went by Mona. With a husband and two kids, Mona was not geographically close to Filly but with the Internet and the phone geography didn't matter that much. Filly liked her single life, but was getting to the age where she felt that like her sister she should become part of a family, but that would only occur if she had what her mother was always emphasizing: a commitment. Angela introduced Filly to Randy Stone, a warehouse manager who also was a champion motorcycle racer. Angela and Randy had been together but never meshed as a couple. Even though Angela and Randy had been an item in the past Filly was unaware that Angela wanted her and Randy to get together and she arranged that by inviting Filly to a motorcycle race. What Angela didn't plan on was that Bill Hauser would also be at the race since he was Randy's teammate. Would Angela's plan be thwarted by Hauser or would Filly find Randy to be the man of her dreams?
