Albert Shepherd and the Mysterious Disease
J C Moore
After World War III, a tiny nation called Nogland was born on an archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. A 10-year-old boy, Albert Shepherd, had to live through the terror of bullying at Eden, a school that was moved to a strange colossal ship, Atlantis, in the aftermath of a catastrophic typhoon. A warm-hearted boy by nature, Albert loved animals. During several animal sporting events, Albert demonstrated his unusual medical ability and power, saving some injured animals and therefore earned him a reputation as an animal doctor at school. However, Albert's enemy sought ways to stop him from his medical practice. One day, a mysterious disease plagued the nation, and Eden was forced to shut down over the disease which killed many students. Also, Albert's best animal friend, Greta, a giant pigeon which he had ridden and won the race during Animal Sports Fair, had contracted the mysterious disease and was dying. Albert must make a desperate attempt to search for a cure for the disease by embarking on an adventure on Genessos, a forbidden volcanic island .... After Albert's adventure, he soon fell into a deadly trap set by his enemy who intended to destroy him. Albert encountered two near-death experiences, while two talking animals came to his rescue. Though only a child, Albert must overcome the force of evil with good to save animals and humans in the nation.
