Joey Holley-New Beginnings is about a young man and his family, the changes they encounter, and the experiences they go through in dealing with the changes. Joey is a high school student that has had to hold down a job to help his family live. The company his dad works in closes down and they have to relocate and start over. Joey, his sister Kristi, his dad, Buford, mom, Susan and his grandmother Helen, all face new beginnings in their different stages of their lives. They move from Lawrence, KS to Houston, TX to find new work and new experiences. One new beginning for Joey is playing football. He had never been able to participate in sports or activities due to having to work and a shortage of funds. With the move, his parents suggest he try out for football to help him adjust and fit in since Lawrence was the only place he had lived. Joey is hesitant since Kristi is sick and he feels like he needs to help out financially by working. As Kristi battles her illness, Buford begins his new job and Joey starts football and school, the family embraces their new beginnings as they work to make a life in Houston TX.
