But the truth is that God's intention and what Jesus paid includes a lot more than that. What the word "saved" (in the Greek "sozo') means: "saved, healed, delivered, protected, preserved, made whole and kept safe and sound." That's what is really meant when God's word tells us that He didn't send His Son to condemn the world but that through Him all men might be saved. This book teaches from scripture who we are in Jesus and what we have in Him. It also teaches how to operate in God's supernatural power to manifest the kingdom of God in the lives of individuals and be of maximum service to God and others. The book also provides several short stories about the miraculous healings the author has seen when praying for people on the street. This is an ideal book for use in small groups or to give to the new believer or anyone who doesn't know the power of the true gospel and who they are in Jesus. Contributor Bio:  Runyan, Brent I was saved at 19. It was a life changing experience. I loved God, wanted to save the world and witnessed for Him at every opportunity. But because of a wrong self-image, not knowing everything that I had in Jesus and with a legalistic understanding of God's word it wasn't long before I felt a sense of condemnation and was headed in the wrong direction. About 20 years later I found myself heavily addicted to drugs with a twisted understanding of God wherein I had come to believe that God was mainly a mean and punishing God that was sending almost everyone, including and especially me, to Hell. The drug addiction I had developed also led to getting beat up and robbed, having guns and knives pulled on me and getting shot at by drug dealers. It was only by the grace of God that I wasn't killed. Although deep down I still loved God and had Christian values, I felt that I was completely beyond God's help. One of the key turning points for me was when a friend told me "If God says He will do something He has to do it." Although my understanding of God's word was all carnal (natural, and therefore again very legalistic) that was great news. It made sense. I knew that God could not lie or break His word. I had heard and read some of the good things and promises in the Bible, but like so many believers I couldn't understand how they couldn't apply to me. Nevertheless my friend's statement gave me some hope, which was what I needed more than anything. A few weeks later, with the knowledge that God's word said that I was "healed by Jesus stripes," I was healed of a progressive foot problem that threatened to cripple me when I prayed a simple prayer in the middle of a parking lot. Six months later I was instantly healed of a hernia as I laid in bed praying the same simple prayer. These days I see people healed almost ever time I leave the house. I have seen my dogs healed people instantly delivered & miracles in every area. Walking in God's power is our inheritance and for every believer. It's also incredibly easy with a little understanding of the truth and it's vital for helping God bring as many as possible to relationship with Jesus. God's love for us and others is amazing and He eagerly desires for each one of us, wounded or not, to step into faith and the simple truths that will manifest His power for the benefit of ourselves and everyone we touch.
