Publisher Marketing: The Fourth Of The Ten Commandments From Father God: 8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Notice the following about this commandment from God: 1. It is the longest of the ten commandments. Notice that God took great "pains" and gave exact details to instruct us on how to keep this commandment. This in itself should gave us great caution so as not to take this commandment lightly. 2. The ten commandments (including this one on the Sabbath day) were NOT suggestions. "The Ten Commandments" are NOT "The Ten Suggestions." 3. God Himself rested on the seven day. Giving us an awesome and very significant example to follow. In this discourse, Lewis Bayly does an excellent job in explaining why the Sabbath is STILL applicable today as are all the ten commandments.
