Dark Continents

A tribute to Dian Fossey's work with gorillas, Jane Goodall's work with chimps, and Birute Mary Galdikas, here is a story set in the future, after much of the world was destroyed by wars. It portrays a society tightly controlled by abusive leaders, operating from a domed city in what had been central Europe. In this new world, several generations of strong people emerge to save the remaining culture of education, and to protect and preserve the wildlife, in sanctuaries, especially in what had been Africa. Courage, stubbornness, anger, hope, and love mix over the years as progress is slowly made, to restore some kind of environment and civilization.
