Cora has always suffered from dissociative amnesia which means she loses memories whenever traumatized. Some memories emerge over time, while others are lost forever. This time, she starts to remember a cellar, a killer, and things done in the shadows she never wanted to see.
As detectives investigate human remains that point to a violent and prolific serial killer, Cora suspects her memories hold the key to the killer's identity. But he is closer to her than anyone realizes, and he doesn't want her to remember who he really is. Previously published as Malum and Missing 6. Past Abandon has been completely rewritten and extensively updated so much that it is officially considered a "new" book. Very few chapters were left untouched, and most have been completely rewritten. Characters have also been renamed or rewritten or removed. Since writing Malum in 2010-2012, I have learned so much about not only the writing process but the publishing process. I will be forever grateful to the readers who took their time to provide constructive feedback, and I really took all of those comments to heart when I rewrote.
