Still reeling from the death of his father, Josh Logan's mother takes him and his two younger brothers to rural West Virginia to live with his grandparents in their old farmhouse with its creepy graveyard that sits just outside the back door. Josh must learn to cope with his loss while dealing with the challenges of starting over in a new school, making friends, and helping a lonely girl named Abby battle her own inner demons and a vicious clique of bullies. In the midst of everything, Josh soon discovers that his new home is haunted and he must hurry to solve a ghostly mystery from the Civil War era while matching wits with a vindictive spirit in order to save his grandfather's life.
