This is a short novel loosely based on the lives of six actual children growing up in a small southern town during the summer of '62. This book has been incorporated as Part I in the author's next novel, "The Neighbor We Never Knew." The narrative is filled with humor wrapped around a thread of darkness based upon a disturbing event which actually occurred during the author's childhood. An act of extreme violence soon follows, as the rascals become ensnared in a life and death mystery.
