This book is a compilation of reviews of long-playing record albums (or compact discs) that make up a TOP 1250 LIST that spans multiple musical genres and covers sixty-five years of material. The concept of a 'desert island list' is probably as old as Lemuel Gulliver's misadventure, or perhaps even William Shakespeare's The Tempest. As far as having music with them, however, both would have needed an orchestra, or at least a balladeer. All YOU would need are a handful of carefully programmed iPods or MP3 players, a generator, headphones and/or speakers.
