Born to parents who died when she was still a baby, Gracie was brought up in the home of strangers who worked her very hard. After a series of similar events she finds herself in an orphanage that she dislikes very much. Gracie is looking forward to getting out of the orphanage but there are no offers for adoption; until one day when an error in communication occurred and she is sent off to her new family.
