At the age of three a young American girl finds herself being raised by her Grandparents from Romania. These series of short stories are written through the eyes of the child as a sort of "Coming of Age," combined with the struggles of assimilating and fitting in to two distinct cultures. At times sad, at times humorous, but mostly insightful. For so many immigrants who continue to enter America graciously and gratefully, these stories may be translated into their own struggles for acceptance and a firm conviction to hold on to their identity as well as their culture. In the end our differences are much smaller than imagined. In the end it really is all about family.
