Hoping to identify the life-giving chemical in a substance known only as "aqua vitae," Bob Davis and his grandsons-Sam, 9, and Clayton, 11-visit the laboratory of noted scientist, Jay Marshall. No only would this chemical save the lives of their good friends, the Browns, but the lives of millions of people living on two warring planets 82 trillion miles from Earth. But Dr. Marshall's test results are stolen and the Davises are kidnapped and taken to the underground headquarters of a military group led by the eccentric General Gray, whose quest for world domination ultimately leads to Washington, D.
