Rachael Penzra, having survived murder once, is ready to fall back into her old dull routine. Unfortunately, when her family finds out that she's a witch, and that her niece Patsy is thinking of becoming one, they decide an intervention is in order. Rachael's parents and three aunts (four of the infamous Seven Sisters) come to straighten things out, bringing along sweet Aunt Myrtle. The harmless spinster's bag full of crocheting keeps her happy until she realizes that detective work is much more interesting. Within a short time she gets herself into trouble, forcing Rachael to once more get involved with the criminal side of life. Add the family, a dog (for want of a better species description), some rather bizarre acquaintances, and two less than competent criminals, and chaos soon reigns.
