Seventeen-year-old Victoria Etsema never believed in myths or magic, until her bedroom mirror became a portal to Atlantis. On Victoria's first visit, the lost empire is deteriorating and deserted, and it marks her wrist with an ancient curse. A stranger with the same tattoo warns Victoria to stay in England, but she can't resist the call of the lost empire. She keeps going back.
