The Light Side of Corrections
Stan Dragomirov
This is a loose conglomeration of thoughts and reflections on the internal happenings of the lighter side of the U. S. corrections system. Here you will find absolutely none of the turgid, scabby horror stories that span the prison genre. This has a flavor of a "stream of consciousness" and a personal journal. Much as I'd like to scream to the skies how full of merit and inspiration "The Light Side of Corrections" is, I must be honest; you'll figure it out anyways. I am an amateur. This is my first published work anywhere near "book" level. I will admit that some the crimes represented by the inmates are certainly distasteful, hurtful, fraudulent and manipulative. Should those fairly convicted provide substantial financial restitution to victims? Sure. Substance abuse monitoring? Why not. Counseling or community service? Ok. But physical limitation and confinement for those that are not a physical threat? I don't get it.
