She writes during the day and works as a waitress at Market, Oakport's hippest restaurant, during the nights. Lisa's whole life changes after serving Jackson Pratt at Market one night. While serving Jackson, the attraction between the two is instantaneous and intense. The next day, Jackson arrives back at the restaurant and asks to speak with Lisa in private. The music induces a trance in both of them, and Lisa quickly becomes infatuated with the band. She starts to cover them for the paper, and can't help but be deeply attracted to the lead singer. She tries to resist - Jackson is more than enough for her - but some type of attraction keeps her going back. But everything gets turned upside down as she discovers the truth.
