Lured by the promise of sex with an attractive woman, Dolphus Cue picks up his first crack pipe and his life starts to spiral out of control. Unemployed and homeless, Cue is determined to save himself from the bottom. One day he throws some clothes and toiletries into a green duffle bag and takes off running towards... nowhere. After months of running he ends up in Miami, Florida. There, on the streets of Miami, Cue meets a dog, Blackie, falls in love with a homeless woman, Schoolteacher, and tries valiantly to break free of his addiction.
