When his local football team needed a bit of help funding urgent ground improvements, local anorak Rob Grillo decided to do his bit to help them. With a bit of help from this friends of course. His journey across Britain's best known long distance footpath proved far from plain sailing, but proved ultimately successful, more through luck than expertise. His trials, tribulations - and detours - are documented here, as are the moments and events that made his 268 mile odyssey entirely worthwhile.
