Planktonia on which all life depends, is dying out. Many asperini sects will not let this happen to their young ones, and are encouraging ligphurs to mate with nghozas. This will allow their young to grow the legs needed to walk the land. Morg, born to a sect of believers in the nghoza mating madness, detests the notion. The leader of her sect is angered, and will force it upon her. She finds a way to escape, and is forced to swim the ocean alone. Finding sanction within another group of asperini, she learns about the White Queen. A ligphur who can look into that which is yet to come. She will know how to end the madness, Morg thinks, and when asked to go there, Morg is all too happy to oblige.
