Natacha Daszkel in her book "Shaken memory of a Borderline's child "describes, using poetry, her childhood with her Borderline parent. All the children of a borderline mother will recognize themselves in these poems which describe with modesty the sufferings of a child who doesn't feel loved like she would like to be. The hardest part is that it seems that her mother doesn't even wish to talk, so that things could become better, and that she denies her past mistakes, not hesitating to transform the past to her advantage. The courage of these children is that they have to succeed to become confident in themselves despite a parent who never validated their own feelings, but who is constantly changing the reality to always make the child look like the guilty one. The author wrote this book to leave a footprint, a testimony, because if not, the parent would probably impose her own version. Then, by this poem booklet, the author would like to become one of the spokesperson of other adult children of borderline mothers, by pinpointing the true wheels of this system. The idea of a poems booklet instead of a descriptive or narrative book was that it de-dramatized the situation, and also it sounded easier like this. It is not a kind of an indictment against her borderline parent. It is more the sad record of a failed relationship.
